How we make money

ShoeOwl does not currently show ads or earn from store links. Here is the planned model.

Draft. This page is a plain-language starting point and has not been reviewed by a lawyer. It must be reviewed before the site goes live.

Authorized store links

After retailers or affiliate networks approve ShoeOwl, store links may earn us a small commission when someone buys. It will cost the shopper nothing extra. The planned rules are on the affiliate links page.

Ads

The public preview does not show ads. If ads are introduced later, they will be clearly labelled and kept separate from shoe details and comparisons.

What money does not change

Commissions will never change which shoes we show or their order. A store that pays us more will not move up.
